Project Description

Build and maintain the website for SVNP Hubs.

Goal: To create an online platform for the Smart Village Network Project (SVNP), a publicly funded initiative that helps rural communities become more digitally connected, sustainable, and economically resilient.

Its main purpose is to create and support a network of digital community hubs across the cross-border region of Donegal (Ireland) and Derry/Strabane (Northern Ireland).

Primary Audience: The primary audience for SVNP-Hubs is the people and organisations who will directly use or benefit from rural digital hubs. (Rural residents, businesses, community leaders & partners.)

The project and the site itself is still in it’s infancy. Expect this site to grow and mature while keeping it’s core identity.

Technical
Site speed, security with a solid SEO in place was and is essential for this project. The site is hosted with Jollyfox. We use the Google Cloud Platform that matches 100% of energy use with renewable energy sources. Using Ultra-fast PHP we also reduce energy consumption and improve website speeds by up to 30%.

The site has a custom care plan in place which includes, allowance for new content (supplied by the business owner) to be added to the site, security updates and plug in updates as and when required to reduce a risk of attack; a monthly recommendation, if applicable, as to where the site could be enhanced.
